Job summary

CNX Recruitment are recruiting an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects across West Scotland. You will drive delivery from pre-construction through to completion, coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders.

The role requires proven PM experience in construction, experience in interior fit-out or main contracting, and strong IT literacy with project management software. A full UK driving licence is expected.

Responsibilities

CNX Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a leading construction contractor for an experienced Project Manager to join their team, overseeing projects across West Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a background in interior fit out or main contracting to take responsibility for the successful delivery of construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.

The successful candidate will be commercially aware, highly organised and confident managing project teams, subcontractors, clients and programmes. Strong IT literacy is essential, with the ability to effectively manage project documentation, reporting and digital construction systems.

The Role

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of construction projects across West Scotland.
• Manage projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and specialist contractors.
• Monitor project progress, costs, quality and programme performance.
• Liaise directly with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Manage project meetings, progress meetings and reporting.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues and potential delays.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Monitor health & safety, quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage variations, commercial issues and project documentation.
• Oversee project completion, snagging and final handover.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry.
• A background in interior fit out or main contracting.
• Experience managing projects from inception through to completion.
• Strong understanding of construction programmes, sequencing and project delivery.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of project costs and variations.
• Excellent IT literacy, with confidence using Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage project teams and subcontractors.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and project delivery.
• Relevant construction qualifications, ideally including SMSTS, CSCS and/or a recognised construction management qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
