Job summary

PSI Global Group Limited is seeking a Project Manager to oversee a Birmingham-based facade project. The role requires coordinating site activities, liaising with clients, and ensuring work progresses to plan on-site with the Contracts Manager.

Projects range from 1m to 18m in the facades/cladding sector. The ideal candidate has building envelope experience, UK project experience, and a strong safety and site-management background. Salary is dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in building envelope/facades/cladding sectors.
• Experience managing multiple projects in the UK.
• First Aid certification preferred.
• Full driving licence required.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• SMSTS certification.
• Good computer skills.
• CSCS Managers card.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients and develop good business relationships.
• Ensure a steady flow of work is issued by the client(s) to maintain the site resource levels.
• Survey potential works and submit reports to the commercial department for pricing.
• Plan and coordinate site work in line with client instructions and Contracts Manager; prepare Site Works Plans.
• Deliver in accordance with the site programme and update the Contracts Manager on progress.
• Complete Site Specific Risk Assessments and related paperwork.
• Deliver toolbox talks and method statement briefings, with related documentation.
• Manage all sub-contractors and site visitors and ensure safety on site.

Position: Project Manager

Location: Birmingham

We are happy to look at permanent or freelance for this position

Client: My client has become a leading specialist in the building envelope, in particular the Facades sector. They have a full order book and are expanding around the UK. They are currently looking to recruit a Project Manager to manage a project in Birmingham.

Projects range in size from 1m to £18m within the facades/cladding sector. Excellent opportunity with a growing company with a turnover in excess of 70 million.

Skills & Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients and develop good business relationships
• Ensure a steady flow of work is issued by the client(s) to maintain the site resource levels
• Survey potential works and submit reports to the commercial department for pricing
• Plan and be responsible for and co-ordinate site work in accordance with the instructions of the client and their Contracts Manager. Prepare the associated Site Works Plan(s) / Project Management Plan(s)
• Deliver in accordance with the programme for the site works and keep the Contracts Manager updated on progress
• Complete all necessary documentation to allow works to start, i.e. 'Site Specific Risk Assessment, etc.
• Deliver general toolbox talk training sessions and method statement briefings, and complete the associated paperwork
• Manage all sub-contractors and site visitors and ensure their safety during works

Experience

• Multi skilled in all aspects of building envelope (Facades/Cladding)
• Experience of managing multiple projects (within the UK)
• First Aid
• Full driving licence
• An understanding of relevant health & safety legislation
• SMSTS
• Good computer skills
• CSCS Managers card
• Professional attitude and ability to operate without supervision
