Job summary

HTA Group in Blackburn is seeking a driven engineering professional to manage complex fabrication and heavy engineering projects from enquiry through to delivery. You will coordinate production, manage customer relationships, ensure technical compliance and deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

The role requires reading and interpreting engineering drawings, coordinating schedules, and maintaining quality across ASME, BS EN, ISO 9001 and welding standards, with responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Project Management or Engineering within: Steel fabrication, Heavy engineering, Coded welding environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of fabrication and welding processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commercial awareness and customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Desirable: Experience within Rail, Nuclear, Defence, Marine, Aerospace, or Oil & Gas sectors.
  • Excellent knowledge of all welding techniques.
  • CAD qualifications and experience are preferable but not essential for this role, training will be provided where necessary.
