A metal fabrication business is looking for a Welding Coordinator to work alongside its IWE-qualified Responsible Welding Coordinator. The company builds complex welded fabrications and assemblies for high-precision, safety-critical industries. Work is short-batch and high-mix, across a wide range of materials, thicknesses and drawings dating back decades.
This is a hands-on role. Around half of the day is spent in the welding bays supervising welders, carrying out first-off inspections and solving problems, with the rest given to technical reviews, WPS and WPQR control and audit support. The business values people who take ownership and has a strong record of promoting from within.
Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be eligible to obtain UK security clearance; no sponsorship is available for this role.
