Job summary

GS3 Recruitment Glasgow is seeking an experienced Project Manager for construction, based in Motherwell with projects across the Central Belt. You will lead drylining and ceiling packages, manage site teams and subcontractors, and drive on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role demands a proven PM background in construction, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering complex, large-scale projects in a regulated environment. UK-based applicants encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• ESSENTIAL: Must be an experienced CONSTRUCTION Project Manager.
• Other industry experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the safe, timely and profitable delivery of construction projects.
• Oversee large-scale drylining and suspended ceiling packages, ensuring programme, specification and quality requirements.
• Manage project teams, Site Managers, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Develop and monitor project programmes, identifying potential delays and implementing solutions.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, variations and commercial risks in conjunction with the commercial team.
• Attend project handovers, ensuring a thorough understanding of scope, specifications, contractual requirements and deliverables.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, consultants and key stakeholders, providing progress updates and managing expectations.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with CDM regulations, health and safety requirements and company procedures.
• Manage project risks, resources, labour, plant and materials to maximise efficiency and minimise delays.
• Maintain accurate project records and provide regular reports on progress, financial performance, risks and issues to senior management.
• Oversee quality assurance, defect management and post-completion works.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and future project opportunities.
• Lead, develop and support project teams, promoting accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
