Job summary

Our Client is recruiting a Project Manager with Control & Instrumentation expertise to lead UK nuclear projects, delivering safe and sustainable engineering outcomes in a regulated setting.

You will drive execution strategies, coordinate cross-functional teams and manage scope, risks and change control to meet critical milestones.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree required or equivalent.
  • APMP or equivalent project management accreditation.
  • Experience managing complex, multidisciplinary teams in regulated industries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of Control & Instrumentation projects end-to-end.
  • Define project execution strategies aligned to client objectives.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to meet safety, quality, cost and schedule targets.
  • Manage scope, risks, change control and opportunities.
  • Monitor performance against baselines and milestones.
  • Build relationships with client stakeholders and partners.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
  • Oversee planning, cost control, forecasting and reporting.
  • Support business-case development and funding approvals.
  • Drive continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with Control & Instrumentation expertise to join a high-profile nuclear programme supporting critical UK energy infrastructure. Working within a highly skilled engineering environment, you will lead challenging projects, collaborate with industry experts, and play a key role in delivering safe, efficient and sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the successful delivery of Control & Instrumentation projects across the full project lifecycle.
  • Define and implement project execution strategies aligned to client objectives.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to achieve safety, quality, cost and schedule targets.
  • Manage project scope, risks, opportunities and change control processes.
  • Monitor project performance against agreed baselines and key milestones.
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and delivery partners.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
  • Oversee project planning, cost control, forecasting and reporting activities.
  • Support business case development, funding approvals and project justification.
  • Drive continuous improvement and project delivery excellence.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered status preferred.
  • APMP qualification or equivalent project management accreditation.
  • Proven project management experience within highly regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of engineering, design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
  • Knowledge of Safety Cases and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing complex, multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong commercial, contractual and financial awareness.
  • Proficiency with project planning, scheduling, risk and Earned Value tools.
  • Nuclear or power generation experience desirable but not essential.
