Job summary

MWH Treatment is seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of major civil engineering and water infrastructure projects. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery from award through handover, while maintaining strong client relationships.

Reporting to Senior Project Manager or Project Director, you will drive NEC contract administration, risk control, and overall project governance, building high-performing teams and long-term value for clients

Qualifications

• Significant project management experience within civil engineering.
• Strong NEC contracts and commercial management knowledge.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing risk.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• SMSTS and IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Construction qualification.
• NEC accreditation or formal NEC training.
• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering; chartered status preferred.

Job description

We are looking to strengthen our Delivery team with a Project Manager to lead the delivery of major civil engineering and water infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager or Project Director, you will be accountable for the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of projects from contract award through to client handover.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage client and stakeholder relationships, oversee programme and commercial performance, administer NEC contracts, and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of major projects whilst developing high-performing teams and building long-term client relationships.

You will be an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering civil engineering, water, utilities or infrastructure projects. You will be a confident leader who can manage multidisciplinary teams, build trusted client relationships and successfully deliver projects in complex operational environments.

• HNC/HND or equivalent construction or engineering qualification.
• DesirableDegree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered or working towards professional accreditation.
• Experience delivering water or wastewater infrastructure projects.
• NEC accreditation or formal NEC training.
