Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong civil engineering background to lead complex water and wastewater projects, ensuring safe, on-time delivery within budget and to high quality standards.

You will plan, coordinate and deliver up to £10 million value projects, perform Principal Contractor duties under CDM2015, and drive HSQE compliance while managing site teams and supply chain partners.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering (or engineering equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as Project Manager in the water industry.
  • APM PMQ or equivalent project management qualification.
  • SEATS or Environmental Management training.
  • CSCS Manager Level and SMSTS (CITB).
  • CDM Awareness and strong understanding of contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and manage delivery of up to £10million value projects.
  • Perform Principal Contractor responsibilities under CDM2015.
  • Implement HSQE procedures and promote safety culture.
  • Conduct health and safety site inspections and promote proactive safety culture.
  • Manage overall project programmes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Oversee commercial aspects, budgeting, cost control and target margins.
  • Provide line management to Site Managers, Engineers and Site Foremen.
  • Coordinate and manage the supply chain partners, resolve issues and drive performance.
  • Act as the primary client contact, building relationships and providing progress updates.
  • Chair and lead project meetings, document discussions, actions and decisions.
  • Control change and manage client expectations.
  • Collaborate with designers on cost-effective and buildable solutions.
  • Mentor and support the professional development of project teams.
  • Maintain mandatory method statements and risk assessments.
  • Plan and secure resources and materials meeting delivery schedules.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager with a strong civil engineering background to lead complex, multi-disciplinary water and wastewater projects. The role requires end-to-end delivery of projects-ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.,

  • Degree, HND or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years experience as Project Manager in the water industry.

  • CDM Awareness.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management., NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
  • Proficiency in MS Project or similar planning tools.
  • SEATS or Environmental Management training.
