Overview

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.

We have an opportunity for a talented and experienced individual to join our Building Services team and take responsibility for the development, management and control of component replacement and remedial work projects, with a strong focus on internal and external building and fire safety. You will also be responsible for the project management of M&E around compliance streams in our buildings and manage all aspects from design and installation to completion and post review of works.

Responsibilities
  • Lead project management for component replacement, remedial works and M&E across compliance streams in our buildings.
  • Manage all phases from design and installation to completion and post-review of works.
  • Coordinate with residents and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and safety compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to building processes, health and safety legal requirements and building regulations.
Qualifications
  • Degree level education or equivalent; ideally in Building Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field.
  • Proven project management experience within the housing sector with budgets typically over £150K.
  • Resident-focused with experience on fire equipment, lift replacement and door entry system replacement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of building processes, health and safety legislation and building regulations.
  • First-class communication skills; able to engage with residents and stakeholders regularly.
  • Ability to work in spaces requiring ladders/scaffolding where access is limited.

Salary: £58,650 per annum plus opportunity to earn a performance-related bonus

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Full-time, permanent
