Job summary

Appoint Limited is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a freelance assignment in Birmingham. The role focuses on an internal/ exterior refurbishment of an existing Industrial Unit with a small New Build Extension, valued at £7.5 million.

Duration: 40 weeks, with the potential to transition to a permanent position. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in Industrial, Logistics, or Distribution sectors, and proven PM experience on New Build projects up to £10 million.

Qualifications

• Experience as Project Manager on industrial or logistics, and new build refurbishment projects.
• Freelance/contract roles acceptable and encouraged.
• Proven leadership and clear communication under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the refurbishment and small new build extension at the industrial unit.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and manage stakeholders.
• Ensure project timelines, budgets and quality are met on site.

Position: (Number 1) Project Manager

Location: Birmingham

Freelance rate: up to £450 per day

Industrial Unit experience is desirable. New Build experience is essential.

Our client is a Tier 2 main contractor who currently enjoy a turnover of £90 million, delivering primarily New Build projects around the UK. They predominately operate within select business sectors including Logistics & Distribution, Multi-room & Commercial.

The Owners are keen to further develop and strengthen their Operational Team with the introduction of an experienced Project Manager. In the first instance our client is keen to secure a Freelance Project Manager for the scheme detailed below and following a freelance period, the position will develop to a permanent role should the transition appeal.
