Job summary

Poolhall Recruitment are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver mixed-use development and industrial fit-out projects across London and the Midlands. The role is site-based with travel across Oxfordshire, London and the Midlands, reporting to Project & Design Directors and managing consultants, subcontractors, and client relationships.

You'll be responsible for safe, on-time, on-budget delivery with high-quality standards, leading multi-disciplinary teams through the full project

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction sector.
• Experience delivering mixed-use developments, industrial or fit-out projects.
• Strong programme management and organisational skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
• Manage programmes, budgets, resources, and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate design teams, consultants, subcontractors, and supply chain partners.
• Oversee procurement activities and subcontract package management.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to high quality.
• Monitor progress against programme and manage project reporting.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining delivery objectives.
• Manage client relationships and act as primary contact throughout delivery.
• Control project costs, variations, valuations and change management.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance and company procedures.
• Lead project meetings and provide updates to senior management.

About the Opportunity

Poolhall Recruitment are working with a growing construction contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager to deliver a range of exciting mixed-use development and industrial fit-out projects across London and the Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and site-focused Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion. The role is based in Oxfordshire, with regular travel to projects throughout London and the Midlands.

You will be joining a business with a strong pipeline of work spanning industrial, commercial, mixed-use, refurbishment, and fit-out sectors.

The Role

Reporting to the Project & Design Directors, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You'll play a key role in managing site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and client relationships throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects from pre-construction and design development through to completion and handover.

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to senior management.

Essential

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction sector.
• Experience delivering mixed-use developments, industrial, commercial, or fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and project delivery processes.
• Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent programme management and organisational skills
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

• Experience within Design & Build environments.
• Background delivering industrial units, warehousing, logistics facilities, manufacturing environments, or commercial developments.
• Experience on mixed-use schemes incorporating residential, retail, commercial, or leisure elements.
• HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent construction-related qualification.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications.
