Job summary

Rullion Ltd is seeking a Project Manager for a portfolio of upgrades and modifications to transmission substation protection and control systems. The role requires proven PM experience in engineering, preferably in Power Transmission, and strong leadership to drive projects through inception to delivery.

You will manage scope, timescales, budgets, and reliability, coordinating with subcontractors and stakeholders while maintaining customer satisfaction and risk control.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC3/4 contracts.
• PM experience in engineering, preferably Power Transmission.
• Proficient with Microsoft Project for scheduling.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Commercially astute with track record of achieving margins and customer satisfaction.
• Experience managing subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects to deliver upgrades/modifications to transmission protection and control systems.
• Ensure delivery on time, to specification, budget and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee overall project budgets and financials.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and technical risks and issues.
• Oversee subcontractor management and performance.
• Lead project teams and drive delivery within demanding timescales.

Full Site Based/Hybrid/Remote Working: Hybrid working available

Hours of work: Up to 40 hours per week

Role information:

• Our client has been a leader in advanced system integration for decades; optimising efficiency & delivering performance on a massive scale. But with continuous innovation at the heart of their business
• A Project Manager is required to manage a series of projects to deliver upgrades/modifications to existing Transmission substation protection and control systems.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

• Experience and knowledge working to NEC3/4 contracts.
• Management role responsible for various projects, could be from the range of £50K to £2M, from inception through to delivery within demanding timescales
• Ensuring that the project is delivered to timescale, specification, budget and customer satisfaction.
• Overall financial responsibility for the projects
• Demonstrable project management experience within an engineering industry, preferably Power Transmission industry or similar regulated background
• Demonstrable experience planning and scheduling work activities using Microsoft Project.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with all internal and external stakeholders.
• Must be commercially astute & be able to identify early commercial and technical risks/issues and find resolutions.
• Must have demonstrable track record of achieving project timescales, margins, customer satisfaction and quality.
• Experience of subcontractor management
• Strong leadership skills, including team management experience.
