Job summary

Tech Search Solutions is engaged on an industrial shed build in Sheffield and seeks a Project Manager with a strong engineering background to lead on-site and from an engineering perspective.

You will manage the programme, subcontractors, site teams and client expectations, with a firm emphasis on H&S, quality and commercial awareness to keep the project moving on a challenging site.

Qualifications

• Engineering background and PM experience required on industrial groundworks projects.
• Experience delivering industrial sheds / steel frame buildings and managing site teams.
• Strong focus on H&S, quality and commercial awareness, with ability to solve problems on site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day on-site activities on the industrial shed project.
• Manage programme, subcontractors and site teams while coordinating with the client.
• Ensure health & safety compliance and quality standards throughout the build.

PROJECT MANAGER - INDUSTRIAL BUILD - SHEFFIELD

Permanent / Freelance | Sheffield | Industrial / Groundworks / Civils

Tech Search Solutions are working with a contractor looking for an experienced Project Manager to take control of an industrial shed build in Sheffield.

This isn't a straightforward shed job. The project is on a challenging site with a significant engineering and groundworks element, so we're looking for someone who understands what's happening on the ground and can confidently manage the job from an engineering perspective.

What we're looking for:

• Strong Project Manager with an engineering background
• Good knowledge of groundworks, civils and site engineering
• Previous experience delivering industrial sheds / steel frame buildings
• Comfortable working on technically challenging sites
• Able to manage programme, subcontractors, site teams and client expectations
• Strong on H&S, quality and commercial awareness
• Someone who can get involved, solve problems and keep the job moving

You’ll need to be confident managing the project day-to-day, but the key thing here is having the technical understanding and engineering knowledge to deal with the challenges the site will throw up.
