Job summary

Appoint is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Senior Site Agent to oversee a £10m groundworks package on a large industrial unit development in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. The role is site-based with an anticipated programme of 40 weeks, reporting to the Civil Engineering/Groundworks contractor's management team.

You will manage day-to-day delivery, coordinate site teams and subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, and deliver works on programme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating as a Project Manager or Senior Site Agent for a Civil Engineering / Groundworks Contractor.
• Strong track record delivering significant groundworks packages on industrial or logistics developments.
• Experience managing Site Managers, Foremen, labour and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of the groundworks package and ensure works are completed to programme.
• Coordinate site teams and resources, maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Liaise with clients and run site meetings as required.

Our client is an established Civil Engineering / Groundworks Contractor looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager / Senior Site Agent to oversee a £10m groundworks package (40 weeks) on a large industrial unit / shed development in Pontefract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of the package, coordinating site teams and resources to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

• Proven experience operating as a Project Manager or Senior Site Agent for a Civil Engineering / Groundworks Contractor.
• Strong track record of delivering significant groundworks packages, ideally on large industrial or logistics developments / Sheds etc.
• Experience managing Site Managers, Foremen, labour and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of programme management, site coordination, Health & Safety and quality.
• Confidence liaising with clients and managing site meetings.

The position is site based in Pontefract, with an anticipated programme of 40 weeks.
