A project management firm based in Runcorn is seeking an experienced Project Manager to plan and deliver projects, ensuring milestones are met. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and project management experience, particularly in engineering or IT. The Project Manager plans, implements and delivers projects. They identify project goals and determine potential challenges that can increase cost or cause delays. The Project Manager also tracks progress and supervises project teams to ensure the achievement of milestones. They act as an intermediary between upper management and the project team. They provide reports to the Senior Project Manager and as required to the senior stakeholders to ensure the project’s success. The Project Manager is the overall Yokogawa focal point for customer, end-user, suppliers, Yokogawa management, and project team and is in charge of the project from contract hand-over from sales until project closing and handover to the Service organization.
A Project Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of projects. Their duties include planning, setting strategies, executing, and monitoring every aspect of a specific project. Depending on the requirements of the client and their level of experience or seniority, Project Managers can handle one or multiple projects at a time.
Project Manager will have various prerequisite skills and qualifications needed to perform their duties effectively. Project Managers will need professional certifications that make them qualified to work in a specific industry or capacity. Depending on the level of experience an individual within a similar project management role will also be considered.
Project Manager will be knowledgeable on every aspect of the project lifecycle experienced in initiating projects, planning, delegating, managing and risk mitigating. Project Management who manages projects in technical fields such as engineering and IT must have relevant industry experience, especially a foundational degree in that discipline. Because Project Managers need to work with clients, the role often involves customer service experience.
Depending on the project requirements and the clients, Project Managers need at least a bachelor’s degree or relevant equivalent. Some roles require postgraduate or industry-specific project management certifications. Advanced Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications in addition to their educational qualifications would be an advantage.
This is a permanent position, with our offices based at Runcorn, Cheshire. We provide a healthy work-life balance through working from home possibilities (currently 3 days/week) however, there will be a requirement to travel to UK customer sites for each project.
