Job summary

Expanded are recruiting a Project Manager to work in Suffolk. The role involves taking overall responsibility for planning, coordinating and delivering projects within the civil engineering and wider power sector context.

You will lead a team, manage programmes, coordinate site operations and work with design teams to resolve technical challenges while ensuring safety, quality and client satisfaction throughout delivery.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree or similar qualification.
• Temporary Works & self-delivery experience.
• Previous experience leading & managing teams of Engineers.
• Circa 10-15 years' experience within Civil Engineering (delivery).
• Infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the planning, coordination and delivery of your project or package of works.
• Provide strong leadership to the project team, driving a positive health, safety and quality culture.
• Develop and manage the construction programme, identifying key milestones, risks and dependencies.
• Coordinate site operations, ensuring labour, plant, materials and subcontractors are effectively planned and managed.
• Work closely with design and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure construction requirements are considered throughout delivery.
• Build strong working relationships with the client, supply chain and wider project stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with the commercial team to understand project performance, manage change and maintain commercial awareness.
• Manage project risks and opportunities, taking early action where issues could impact programme, cost, quality or safety.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, designs and quality requirements.
• Lead project meetings, reporting and communication, providing clear visibility of progress and upcoming priorities.
