Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive the Skye 132kV Reinforcement Project, reporting to the Construction Director. You will own a substantial section of works, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and supply chain partners to deliver safely, efficiently and to high quality standards on a challenging landscape.

The role requires proven delivery of large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects, strong leadership and excellent stakeholder management.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience delivering large-scale power, energy, utilities or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership with commercial awareness and ability to manage complex construction operations.
  • A solid understanding of NEC contracts and commercial project delivery.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in heavy civils, earthworks, highways or major infrastructure projects.

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and supply chain partners to deliver safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.
  • Own a substantial section of works on the Skye 132kV Reinforcement Project, reporting to the Construction Director.
  • Demonstrate strong planning, programme management and project controls.

Who we're looking for

You'll be an established Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering major civil engineering or infrastructure projects. You'll combine strong leadership skills with sound commercial awareness and the ability to manage complex construction operations in challenging environments.

We're particularly interested in candidates who have:

  • Significant experience delivering large-scale power, energy, utilities or infrastructure projects.
  • A Civil Engineering qualification (ONC, HNC, HND or Degree).
  • A valid Black CSCS Card.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
  • Strong planning, programme management and project controls experience.
  • The ability to lead health, safety and environmental performance by example.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A good understanding of NEC contracts and commercial project delivery.
  • Experience in heavy civils, earthworks, highways, industrial plant or major infrastructure projects.
