Job summary

Fawkes & Reece is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a permanent, on-site role delivering commercial workplace fit-out projects across London. You will oversee project delivery from pre-construction through to completion, managing client relationships, programme, cost and design coordination.

Working closely with a Senior Site Manager, you will lead on commercial performance, subcontractor procurement, design development and project reporting to ensure successful delivery and future

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience delivering commercial fit-out projects.
• Strong design & build experience (CAT A/B) required.
• Experience delivering high-end London office or commercial interiors.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management.
• Solid commercial and contractual understanding.
• Strong programme and design management experience.
• Technically strong with attention to detail.
• Track record of delivering projects through to completion.
• Ability to lead autonomously while collaborating with wider teams.
• CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid credentials.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are recruiting an experienced Project Manager for a permanent opportunity with an established Design & Build contractor delivering commercial workplace fit-out projects across London.

This Project Manager will take overall responsibility for project delivery across projects between £2M - £5M, managing the client relationship, commercial performance and budget, programme, design coordination and delivery from pre-construction through to completion.

You will work closely with a Senior Site Manager / Number 1 on site, who will take day-to-day responsibility for the site operation and physical delivery, allowing you to maintain a strong focus on project leadership, client management and commercial performance.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for project delivery from pre-construction through to completion
• Manage the client relationship, expectations and project reporting
• Take ownership of programme, costs and overall commercial performance
• Lead design coordination and manage technical queries and design development
• Manage subcontractor procurement, performance and contractual matters
• Coordinate closely with the Senior Site Manager to drive successful site delivery
• Monitor progress, programme and key project milestones
• Manage variations, valuations and commercial reporting
• Ensure quality, H&S and project documentation requirements are maintained
• Lead project meetings and coordinate consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders
• Manage project risk and identify opportunities to improve delivery
• Drive snagging, commissioning and final handover
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to repeat business and future opportunities

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within commercial fit-out
• Strong Design & Build / CAT A / CAT B experience
• Experience delivering high-end London office or commercial interiors
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
• Good commercial and contractual understanding
• Strong programme and design management experience
• Technically strong with excellent attention to detail
• Proven track record of delivering projects successfully through to completion
• Ability to lead projects autonomously while working collaboratively with wider teams
• CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid
