Job summary

SF Partners in Belper, Derbyshire, is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to join a growing project delivery function. You will own end‑to‑end delivery of a varied range of business projects from scope through to completion, while guiding junior Project Managers and improving delivery tools and processes.

The role emphasizes hands‑on delivery, governance adherence, and strong stakeholder collaboration, with a hybrid working pattern and a clear path for progression

Qualifications

• Strong end‑to‑end project delivery experience.
• Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams.
• A structured approach to planning, governance, RAID and project controls.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets, resources, timelines and dependencies.
• Confidence taking ownership of projects and driving delivery.
• Experience working within a structured PMO or project environment.
• Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile delivery approaches.
• Experience supporting or mentoring less experienced Project Managers would be advantageous.
• PRINCE2, APM or another recognised Project Management qualification would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Own project plans, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Work closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the business.

• Help improve project management tools, templates and processes.
• Provide informal coaching and support to junior Project Managers.

Location: Belper, Derbyshire - Hybrid
Salary: £55,000 + discretionary bonus + excellent pension
Working pattern: 3 days office / 2 days home

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to join a growing project delivery function within a well-established organisation based in Belper.

This is predominantly a hands‑on delivery role, taking ownership of a varied range of business projects from initial scope through to successful completion. Alongside your own projects, you’ll provide guidance to junior Project Managers and contribute to the continued improvement of project delivery tools and ways of working.

The opportunity could suit an established Project Manager or a strong Project Manager ready to take the next step in their career.

You will:

• Lead projects from initial scope and planning through to delivery and closure.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.

• Work closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the business.
• Ensure projects follow established governance and delivery standards.

The portfolio is varied and includes a mixture of business change, technology, digital and operational projects, providing plenty of variety and exposure across the organisation.

You can demonstrate:

• A structured approach to planning, governance, RAID and project controls.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets, resources, timelines and dependencies.

Sector experience is flexible we’re more interested in your ability to demonstrate strong, structured project delivery than experience within a particular industry.
