Job summary

A Norfolk-based manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Project Manager on a fixed-term contract (6–12 months). The role focuses on delivering complex projects within manufacturing, engineering or technical environments.

You will lead from planning to completion, manage plans, schedules and budgets, and coordinate across engineering, production, quality and commercial teams. Immediate or short-notice start available for a commercially aware, results-driven PM.

Qualifications

  • Experience in PM in manufacturing, engineering or a technical environment.
  • Track record delivering projects on time and within budgets.
  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Proactive and hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from initial planning through to successful completion.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate activities across engineering, production, quality and commercial teams.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Prepare and present regular project updates and reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery processes.

Our client, a successful and growing manufacturing business based in Norfolk, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a fixed-term contract. The duration of the contract is flexible and expected to be between 6 and 12 months, depending on project requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and results-driven Project Manager with experience delivering complex projects within a manufacturing, engineering or technical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects from initial planning through to successful completion
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and budgets
  • Coordinate activities across engineering, production, quality and commercial teams
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers and key stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Previous experience in a Project Manager position within manufacturing, engineering or a technical environment
  • A proven track record of successfully delivering projects to agreed timescales and budgets
  • Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
  • A proactive and hands-on approach
