Line Up Aviation is seeking a motivated Project Management Business Partner for onsite work at Broughton. You will support the Single Aisle Wing Value Stream Management across sites in the UK and Europe, driving governance, methods, and tools to meet time, cost and performance targets.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in Project/Programme Management in a complex organisation.
  • Cross-functional experience across at least two areas (Procurement, Engineering, ICT, Quality, etc.).
  • PM certification (Airbus PM, PMP, or PRINCE2) and knowledge of Agile PM (Scrum/SAFe).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure VSM projects are supported with strong PM governance and practices.
  • Coach and raise awareness of best practices within VSM teams.
  • Shape methods and tools to project needs and manage stakeholders.
  • Promote Agile WoW and act as Scrum Master where needed.
  • Establish end-to-end plans and monitor changes vs baseline; manage EVM milestones.
  • Provide regular reporting and KPI dashboards; support PRMs and reviews.
  • Drive Risk & Opportunity management and collaborate with Finance on cost tracking.
  • Implement smart digital solutions (PALANTIR, SkyWise, QlikSense) for automated reporting.

Project Management Business Partner (BBBH18668) Broughton, Wales

Salary: GBP40.18 - GBP40.18 per hour

Our client is seeking a motivated Project Manager to join their professional Project Management team, supporting the Single Aisle Wing Value Stream Management (VSM) across its Filton, Broughton and Bremen sites. The successful candidate will drive best-practice project management governance, methods and tools, supporting the VSM team to achieve time, cost and performance objectives. The primary focus will be Change Control and MOD Implementation, with involvement across Work Package Management, Ramp-Up Governance, Integrated Planning, Capex and Business Performance.

Pay: £40.18 per hour via Umbrella

Contract: 35 hours per week, 12 months contract

Location: Broughton – Fully onsite

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring VSM projects are supported with a strong Project Management Expertise and that appropriate Project & Programme Management structure, governance and practices are applied. The scope of involvement will span across the streams of the VSM team.
  • Working with the VSM project leaders & project organisation on a day to day basis.
  • Raising the understanding and acceptance of best practice project management within the VSM teams by coaching and providing awareness sessions, challenging project leaders where needed.
  • Shaping methods and tools in accordance with PM standards to the needs of the project / activity.
  • Supporting efficient communication and stakeholder management, ensuring that activities are aligned with interfacing projects and operations.
  • Promoting Agile WoW and acting as Scrum Master for project activities where needed.
  • Establishing E2E project plans and controlling all changes versus the initial baseline. Identifying associated Earned Value Management (EVM) milestones and project critical paths.
  • Tracking performance versus plan throughout the project lifecycle. Analysing project information to anticipate deviations from target and proposing preventive / corrective actions to support project level decision making. Providing clear and regular reporting throughout all project phases.
  • Driving the Risk & Opportunity Management process in line with the existing R&OM plan. Owning the associated R&O register and regularly providing the Project Leader & A320 Family Risk Officer with the current risk and opportunity status.
  • Jointly working with Finance to compare cost incurred and time spent for progress achieved against current planning.
  • Preparing and publishing of reports as required. Defining and delivering relevant KPls & dashboards for effective performance management. Contributing to all team reviews as required. Preparing and supporting project management reviews (PRM, Operational meetings etc.).
  • Implementing smart digital solutions within the VSM for automated reporting, KPI generation, and planning. Working with PALANTIR tools (SkyWise) to create required data sets and analyses. Using advanced business tools (e.g. PALANTIR, G-Suite, Gemini (AI), QlikSense, KPI Factory, SAP, Unified Planning) to increase transparency, minimise manual operations and to enable faster and better decision making.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or a related discipline, with 5+ years' experience in Project/Programme Management, including experience within a complex organisation.
  • Cross-functional experience across at least two areas such as Procurement, Engineering, ICT, Quality, Supply Chain or Operations.
  • Good working knowledge of aircraft production/engineering, including experience working with suppliers and knowledge of relevant European legislation and substance regulations such as REACH.
  • Project Management certification such as Airbus PM Certification (Bronze), PMP® or PRINCE.
  • Experience with Agile Project Management methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe, alongside a good working knowledge of relevant Airbus systems and tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and coordinate multiple functions and manage conflict effectively.
  • Strong data management and visualisation skills, including experience with Palantir tools.
  • Excellent English communication skills; German, French and/or Chinese would be advantageous.
  • A proactive, adaptable and challenging mindset, with the ability to manage change, speak up constructively and support the adoption of new ways of working.
