Job Description
- The primary role of the Relationship Manager (RM) is to collaborate with the Team Head to market and secure qualifying business opportunities in infrastructure and project finance for the bank. The RM will serve as the first contact point for building client relationships, participating in syndicated loans, underwriting transactions, and negotiating terms with counterparties.
- Assist the Team Head with marketing activities, client meetings, preparing pitches, and presentations as required.
- Prepare credit applications, including customer credit risk analysis, business risk analysis, financial modeling, financial risk analysis, project valuation, etc., to present to UK and Head Office credit committees.
- Monitor projects, report, conduct quarterly and annual reviews, review financial covenants, process waiver requests, and post-loan monitoring.
- The structured finance team aims to develop client relationships while managing credit risk and complying with regulatory requirements by working closely with risk, legal, compliance, and relevant departments for risk analysis, KYC, and loan documentation.
- Maintain awareness of market trends in international business, including UK and global infrastructure and M&A markets.
The Successful Applicant
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in banking or related finance industry.
- Good understanding of infrastructure and project finance, especially in sectors like oil, gas, power, property, and renewables. M&A and real estate knowledge is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to understand complex financing structures and loan documentation.
- Knowledge of UK and international infrastructure and real estate markets.
- Strong relationship-building skills, ability to work under pressure across multiple projects and tight deadlines.
