Job Summary

The field engineer is responsible for the installation and maintenance of custom machines (material handling & fastening systems) at Preston workshop & mainly at customer plants. Focused on quality and safety.

12-month fixed-term contract with extension option

Responsibilities

• Set up machines at Preston for sign off with the customers
• Organise delivery to the end user
• Manage the installations in autonomy (prevention plans, lifting means, etc.)
• Set up machines at customer sites
• Refine settings
• Diagnose and fix potential failures

Basic Qualifications

• Qualification in mechanical or electro-technical engineering

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

• Few trips: Preston, UK
• Punctual trips: other customers in the UK
• Experience of 3 years at a similar position in an industrial environment
• Good skills with hand tools, power tools and good practices for mechanical, pneumatic and electric assembly
• SolidWorks CAD software only for visualisation
• Forklift driving license / MEWP driving license / Working at height permit
