Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate with home-office engineering and manage engineering firms to ensure reliable, quality, cost-effective and safe designs on industrial projects. The PE will lead site design engineering, update schedules, and report progress while collaborating with PMs, Site Manager, and Field Engineers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 3–5 years renewable/solar experience, and the ability to relocate to the project site for the duration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in renewables; solar experience is a plus.
• Experience working as a PE in an Engineering, Procurement and Construction firm is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR).
• Detail oriented; ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks; ability to present to groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor Field Engineers (FEs) and support Trade Supervisors; manage project tracking and reporting.
• Support the project’s safety program and quality assurance to build right the first time.
• Coordinate design issues with Trade Superintendents and third-party engineers (EOR).
• Act as liaison for construction team, client and internal resources from award to final completion.
• Manage the Request for Information (RFI) process and project document control.
