Job summary

WH Scott & Son (Engineers) Ltd is seeking a Project Engineer for a 12‑month fixed term contract based in Bristol, UK. The role focuses on owning technical details from award to commissioning, including site surveys, drawing reviews, and coordinating installation teams.

Regular UK site visits and occasional overnight stays apply. The successful candidate will bring an engineering degree or equivalent, 2+ years in a project engineering role, and experience with RAMS, LOLER, and reading drawings.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in mechanical, electrical or related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years in a project engineering or technical role in engineering, lifting, fabrication or industrial services.
• Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, RAMS and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Comfort working at height and strong safety mindset.
• Full UK driving licence and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and review drawings with our Design team.
• Manage technical queries and change control across projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors and installation teams.
• Prepare RAMS and lift plans for projects.
• Maintain document control, meeting minutes, and cost tracking in Business Central.
