Job summary

WH Scott Group, a Bristol-based leader in lifting equipment, is seeking Multi-Skilled / Maintenance Engineers to join our team. You will attend breakdowns, service and commission overhead gantry cranes, and support installation across the South East.

The role requires electrical and mechanical expertise, with a valid license and willingness to travel (25%). A competitive salary starts from £35,000/year, plus on-call duties and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment.
• Electrical engineering knowledge including three-phase control systems.
• Mechanical experience with motors, brakes and reduction gearboxes.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and perform servicing, testing and commissioning of overhead gantry cranes and lifting equipment.
• Support the installation of lifting equipment for customers across the South East.
• Work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure high maintenance quality.

About The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will:

• Attend breakdowns, perform servicing, testing, and commissioning of overhead gantry cranes and associated lifting equipment.
• Support the installation of lifting equipment for a variety of customers across the South East.
• Work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure the highest quality of maintenance and service.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Proven experience in preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Electrical engineering expertise with a solid understanding of three-phase control systems.
• Mechanical experience with medium to large motors, electro-mechanical brakes, and reduction gearboxes.
• Familiarity with PLCs and inverter control systems (desirable but not essential).
• A valid driving license and a willingness to travel (25% travel required).
