Job summary

Hunter Selection Limited in Chippenham, Wiltshire, seeks a Project Engineer to manage control system projects from initial assessment through commissioning and completion. You will interpret technical requirements, contribute to specifications, select materials, design layouts and oversee testing and deployment on site.

The role may involve domestic and international travel for start-up and support; expect client liaison, strong communication, and adherence to quality and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Control Systems or related field.
• Knowledge of electrical principles relevant to control systems.
• Experience with wiring methods, I/O hardware and panel design.
• Ability to read P&IDs, flow and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with motor control centres and VFDs.
• Proficiency with PC hardware and Windows software.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency with proprietary control software platforms.
• Program and configure PLCs, DCS and HMIs as needed.
• Travel domestically and internationally for start-up and support.
• Prepare project documentation and ensure quality within timelines.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
