Job summary

Aqumen Recruitment is seeking a Commissioning Engineer – Control Systems for site-based work with UK and overseas travel. The role involves programming, commissioning and technical support of control panels and automation systems, with a strong customer-facing element.

The ideal candidate has hands-on automation experience, PLC/HMI programming skills, and the ability to work independently on customer sites.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in industrial automation and control systems.
• Experience programming and commissioning PLC/HMI systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical/control issues on-site.

Responsibilities

• Programme and configure PLC and HMI control systems.
• Commission control panels and automation systems on customer sites.
• Carry out testing, fault-finding and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and resolve software and control system issues.
• Provide technical support to customers during and after commissioning.
• Work closely with engineering teams to deliver projects.
• Travel regularly to customer sites throughout the UK and overseas.
• Communicate with customers during the commissioning process.
• Complete commissioning documentation and provide technical feedback.
• Support ongoing technical and engineering requirements.
