Job summary

NRL requires an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of projects at the Sizewell B Power Station. The role operates in a highly regulated, safety-critical setting, collaborating with the client, Project Manager, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare project reports, business cases, and funding/sanction documentation.
• Support commercial and contractual aspects of project delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and effective project execution.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of projects at EDF Sizewell B Power Station. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regulated and safety-critical environment, contributing to the delivery of key engineering projects that support the UK's energy infrastructure. Working closely with the client, Project Manager, and multidisciplinary project teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Coordinate engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Manage project planning, cost control, risk management, quality requirements, and programme delivery.
• Support Safety Case development and ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and CDM regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare project reports, business cases, and funding/sanction documentation.
• Support commercial and contractual aspects of project delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and effective project execution.

About You

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Experience within highly regulated or safety-critical industries.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, engineering delivery, quality assurance, and commercial management.
• Experience in estimating, cost control, project planning, and risk management.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• APMP qualification (or equivalent) and Chartered Engineer status are desirable.
• Previous experience within the nuclear industry or power generation sector is advantageous but not essential.
