Job summary

PWE Recruitment Group is recruiting for a Project Engineer (Electrical) to join a major nuclear programme in the UK, delivering high-impact infrastructure and ensuring safety, quality and schedule targets.

You will work within a highly regulated environment, lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, suppliers and stakeholders while developing your technical and leadership capabilities on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation, or High Voltage.
  • Experience delivering projects in highly regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of QA/QC processes.
  • Experience with planning, estimating, cost control and commercial management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in nuclear, power generation or safety-critical industries is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of electrical engineering project activities to safety, quality, cost and schedule targets.
  • Support development and implementation of project execution strategies.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams for effective project delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with client teams and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project performance and support delivery objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards, policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate communication across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Support supplier engagement and coordination throughout project delivery.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within all project activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer (Electrical) to join a major nuclear programme, supporting the safe and successful delivery of essential infrastructure projects. Working within a highly regulated environment, you'll collaborate with experienced professionals, develop your technical and leadership capabilities, and gain exposure to complex, large-scale projects that offer genuine long-term career progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of assigned electrical engineering project activities to agreed safety, quality, cost and schedule targets.
  • Support the development and implementation of project execution strategies.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client teams and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor project performance and support the achievement of delivery objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience within Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation, or High Voltage engineering.
  • Experience delivering projects within complex, highly regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle from design through to commissioning.
  • SMSTS qualification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Experience with planning, estimating, cost control and commercial management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience within nuclear, power generation or other safety-critical industries is advantageous.
