Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to lead capital projects for a chemical plant in Randburg. You will manage the full lifecycle from concept through commissioning, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

You will develop scopes and execution plans, coordinate with engineers, contractors, and regulators, review designs, and monitor progress to mitigate risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management within the chemical or process industry.
• Proven experience managing capital projects, including P&ID development, equipment specification, and procurement.
• Strong understanding of chemical plant operations, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
