Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Prestwick is seeking a Project Engineer to assist engineering teams in designing and delivering complex products. Responsibilities include attending client meetings, checking design documents, and overseeing project stages. The ideal candidate should have a Mechanical Engineering degree and experience with 3D CAD software. This is a permanent position with salary dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Complete an appropriate apprenticeship or Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Demonstrate competence in 3D CAD software.
• Possess mechanical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Attend kickoff, expediting and pre-production meetings with clients.
• Check drawings, procedures, and calculations for accuracy.
• Interpret clients' requirements to implement engineering solutions.
• Evaluate and prioritize work within project schedules.
• Develop standard/project-specific drawings and calculations.
• Oversee product and project development stages.

Are you a Project Engineer? Do you have experience assisting engineering teams with the design and delivery of complex products? Do you have mechanical engineering knowledge and confidence using 3D CAD?

If so, our Prestwick Park operation in Newcastle is looking to expand the team with a Project Engineer vacancy!

The Project Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

• Attend kickoff, expediting and pre-production meetings with clients.
• Check drawings, procedures and calculations produced by team members for accuracy, tolerances and presentation.
• Interpret clients’ requirements and ensure engineering solutions are implemented.
• Evaluate, organise and prioritise work within each overall project schedule.
• Develop standard/project-specific drawings, design calculations and procedures. Liaise with clients to ensure project engineering tasks meet contractual requirements.
• Oversee various stages of product and project development from concept through to dispatch.

The ideal candidate will have the following education and skills:

• Completed appropriate apprenticeship or Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Competent in 3D CAD software.
• Mechanical engineering experience.
