Job summary

Owen Daniels in Somerset is seeking a Project Manager with a minimum of 3 years' experience to oversee engineering projects, manage schedules, budgets and client relationships, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams.

You will coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and external stakeholders, act as main point of contact for clients, monitor progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions, while ensuring delivery meets quality and contractual

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Project Management role.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or a technical environment is advantageous.
• Strong budgeting, cost control and scheduling skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initial planning through to completion.
• Own project schedules, budgets, costs and deliverables.
• Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and external stakeholders.
• Be the main client contact throughout project delivery.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Manage project financials including forecasting, invoicing and variations.
• Lead meetings and provide regular progress updates.
• Support Project Coordinators within the team.

Owen Daniels are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join a well-established and growing engineering business based in Somerset.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a minimum of 3 years' Project Management experience looking to further develop their career within a technical engineering environment.

The successful candidate will take ownership of engineering projects, managing schedules, budgets and client relationships while working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Role

• Managing engineering projects from initial planning through to completion
• Taking ownership of project schedules, budgets, costs and deliverables
• Coordinating engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and external stakeholders
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients throughout project delivery
• Monitoring project progress, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions
• Managing project financials, including forecasting, invoicing and variations
• Leading project meetings and providing regular progress updates
• Supporting Project Coordinators within the team
• Ensuring projects are delivered to the required quality standards and contractual requirements

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Project Management role
• Experience within an engineering, manufacturing or technical environment would be advantageous
• Good understanding of project planning, budgeting and cost control
• Ability to work with technical drawings, specifications and project documentation
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing project risks, schedules and deliverables
• Excellent organisational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Relevant Project Management qualifications would be beneficial but are not essential

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
