Job summary

YDU JC Air Cond & Ref Inc.- Dubai is seeking a Project Engineer for fire suppression projects in the Northwest or Yorkshire. In this field-based role, you will lead subcontractors, ensuring quality and safety in installations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in the Fire/Sprinkler industry and experience managing engineering teams. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential. Please note that we cannot provide sponsorship for this position.

Project Engineer – Fire Suppression

Location: Northwest or Yorkshire – Field based role

What You’ll Do

As a Project Engineer, you’ll provide first‑line leadership to a team of subcontractors, ensuring high‑quality delivery across fire suppression installation projects. Reporting to the Head of Regional Install UK / Contracts Manager UK, you’ll help drive performance, support strategic growth, and maintain strong customer relationships.

• Lead installation delivery, quality, and Health & Safety standards.
• Manage your own financial work bank and support cost optimisation.
• Coordinate subcontractors on site.
• Monitor defects, scope deviations, and documentation accuracy.
• Plan manpower and equipment to meet project timelines and budgets.
• Conduct regular safety and quality audits.
• Support team development through performance assessments and annual appraisals.
• Manage workload to maximise productivity and forecast accuracy.
• Prepare reports and programmes for senior management.
• Liaise with Credit Control to minimise disputes and support timely invoicing.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working within an installation environment.
• Proven experience supervising or managing engineering teams.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to build, motivate, and develop high‑performing teams.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Experience with Mechanical Fire Suppression systems.
• Ideally 3+ years in the Fire/Sprinkler industry.
• Good PC literacy, including Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of LPCB BS12845 and/or NFPA standards (preferred).
