Job summary

CV Technical in Leicester is seeking a Project Engineer to join the design team. The role covers design, site work and project delivery, with close collaboration with customers, manufacturing and senior management. There is genuine progression into a leadership position as the business grows.

The role involves creating detailed AutoCAD drawings, conducting site surveys, and coordinating with production to ensure feasible designs, with RAMS support and process improvements across the business.

Qualifications

• Strong AutoCAD experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of fabrication and sheet metal work.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Comfortable dealing directly with customers and site teams.
• A hands‑on approach with the ambition to progress into a leadership role.

Responsibilities

Days, Monday to Friday

£50,000 - £55,000

We are working with an established engineering business who are looking to appoint a Project Engineer to join their design team.

This is a varied role covering design, site work and project delivery, with the successful candidate working closely with customers, manufacturing and senior management. There is also a genuine opportunity to progress into a leadership position as the business continues to grow.

The Role:

• Producing detailed engineering designs and drawings using AutoCAD
• Carrying out site visits, surveys and measurements
• Working directly with customers to develop practical engineering solutions
• Liaising with manufacturing and fabrication teams to ensure designs are achievable
• Producing RAMS and supporting projects through to installation
• Helping improve design processes and systems across the business

The Person:
