Job summary

Our Client at Heysham Power Station is seeking a Chartered Engineer to lead and support engineering activities across the full project lifecycle. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, safety, quality and environmental standards while delivering complex nuclear projects in a structured environment.

You will contribute to documentation, change control, contractor coordination and commissioning activities, with strong focus on stakeholder collaboration and site surveys.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer, HND or equivalent engineering qualification.
• SMSTS qualification.
• Experience delivering projects within highly regulated industries.
• Knowledge of CDM and construction project delivery.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Nuclear or power station experience is desirable but not essential.
• Project management qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain engineering documentation, quality plans and technical specifications.
• Manage technical queries in line with project processes and procedures.
• Review contractor drawings, documents and technical submissions.
• Carry out feasibility studies, site surveys and technical appraisals.
• Prepare and manage Engineering Change documentation.
• Support contractor selection and contract placement activities.
• Lead commissioning documentation and testing where required.
• Collaborate with Project and Construction Managers to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
