About the Opportunity

Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client-critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. The Hinkley Point C Equipment Programme is responsible for delivering the mechanical, electrical, and process equipment that will form the power station. Contracts vary from £250k to £150m and involve partnerships with NNB’s global supply chain. Design inputs are completed by the EDF Responsible Designer, with detailed design by the equipment supplier.

We are currently recruiting an Equipment Engineer to provide high-quality mechanical engineering support to the HPC Project, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and project standards.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical review and acceptance of design documentation provided by the Responsible Designer and suppliers.
  • Assist the Project Manager in completing tasks supporting the design subprocesses.
  • Address unresolved technical issues to reach adequate conclusions.
  • Challenge design decisions to ensure alignment with project strategy.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the Design Authority in communications with Regulators regarding design matters.
  • Coordinate support from external organizations.
