Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation is seeking a Project Engineer for our Christchurch, Dorset team. You will manage the project lifecycle from conception to completion, dealing with sensors and solenoid equipment for aerospace applications, and serve as the main liaison with customers.

The role requires leadership across engineering projects, with a strong focus on design packages, validation, and production readiness. Hybrid work and professional development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of environmental testing.
  • Senior project experience in Aerospace or similar.
  • Familiar with BS8888.
  • SolidWorks proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare design proposals incl. technical presentations, drawings, schedules, verifications and validation activities and costs.
  • Lead engineering projects through the NPI process to production readiness.
  • Prepare and support electro-mechanical product performance analysis.
  • Create and approve manufacturing drawings with BS8888, GD&T, tolerance analysis and best drawing practices.
  • Develop and approve validation and verification documents (e.g., compliance matrix, test procedures/reports, DDPs).
  • Assist operations with manufacturing/quality issues, making technical judgments on non-conformances and ECRs.
  • Lead small project teams as required.
  • Support investigations using 8D and similar problem-solving tools.
