Job summary

NEOS Engineering in Aylesbury is seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Civil Engineer to lead earthworks and major infrastructure projects on the HS2 programme. You will act as technical authority across planning, design and execution, ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

Collaborating with clients, subcontractors, commercial, planning and HSEQ teams, you will drive delivery, manage risks and mentor the project team on a high-profile UK project.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience within earthworks, civil engineering or major infrastructure.
• A proven track record of delivering complex projects to high standards of quality and safety.
• Strong technical knowledge across core civil engineering disciplines.
• Experience working within demanding construction environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong project management and commercial awareness.
• The ability to make sound technical decisions and resolve issues proactively.
• Chartered status with ICE or actively working towards Chartered status.
• A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of project objectives across safety, quality, programme and commercial performance.
• Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from planning and design through to execution and completion.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
• Act as a key point of contact, resolving issues and supporting effective project delivery.
• Coordinate closely with commercial, planning and HSEQ teams to ensure integrated project planning.
• Support accurate forecasting and proactive risk management.

• Implement corrective actions where required to protect project delivery targets.

PROJECT ENGINEER

NEOS Engineering are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join an established engineering contractor working on the major HS2 project in Aylesbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer / Civil Engineer with a strong background in earthworks or major infrastructure to take ownership of complex engineering projects and play a key role in their successful delivery.

THE ROLE
