Job summary

Octopus Energy Group is building a bold, new business line delivering low-cost, reliable energy for data centres and large industrials. You will be the electrical owner on first-of-a-kind power projects, from concept through energisation, with a delivery team around you.

You’ll manage the programme, development budget, and external parties, then continue as electrical owner through construction, commissioning and energisation. UK-wide travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrical or power systems engineering.
• 5+ years delivering energy or infrastructure projects with MV/HV exposure.
• Experience with substations, networks, and live asset integration.
• Managed programme and budget on development or pre-construction projects.
• Knowledge of Grid Code, CUSC, SQSS, G99/G100, BS 7671.

Responsibilities

• Own the programme and the development budget from concept to energisation.
• Own the electrical concept through to sign-off, including diagrams and layouts.
• Lead the grid interface with DNO/TO/NESO and corresponding milestones.
• Own budget through completion with capex inputs, VE and commissioning plans.
• Take on unfamiliar scope and deliver fast, even without precedent.
