Job summary

Octopus Energy Group is seeking an AM Operations Director to build the operating structure around Asset Management as OEGEN continues to grow and manage increasingly complex assets.

The role takes ownership of cross-funds work where standards exist but aren’t embedded, or where there is no clear owner, helping ensure scale benefits investors and that issues are identified early while suppliers are held to account.

Qualifications

• Senior Manager/Director level with 10–15 years’ experience in renewable energy or comparable physical infrastructure.
• Experience in asset management followed by a portfolio operations or COO-type role.
• Proven ability to build or improve portfolio-wide processes and operating frameworks.
• Delivery of systems such as contractor governance, risk reporting, supplier assurance, and cross-functional programmes.
• Strong understanding of renewable assets, third-party management, contracts and governance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the core operating framework for Asset Management across funds, assets and platforms.
• Oversee governance, directorships and Asset Management governance arrangements.
• Serve as the senior Asset Management representative for data and reporting systems.
• Drive contractor and supplier performance framework, including reviews and KYC processes.
• Oversee supplier onboarding and assurance processes with consistent application.
• Own the Asset Management risk-management framework and consolidate risk reporting.
• Lead lessons-learned and continuous-improvement to update standards and practices.
• Provide oversight of central processes relying on Asset Management input, like contract management.
