A little more about your role…

The Project Director is accountable for day-to-day project matters supported by Senior Project Managers and Project Managers. They lead people, projects, clients, and business performance, typically managing 2-3 major projects along with smaller schemes.

We seek individuals with excellent leadership skills in major projects or programs, with a proven track record of delivering a portfolio throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Accountabilities

• Maintain a healthy portfolio of projects in accordance with the project lifecycle, ensuring the success of Major Projects within the Water team.
• Own and deliver their projects effectively.
• Develop new proposals, oversee project mobilization, and maintain the monthly review cycle for quality outcomes.
• Demonstrate behaviors aligned with company values through collaboration with PMs/PDs, senior leadership, and clients.
• Lead by example in health, safety, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage 2-3 major projects.
• Define and implement delivery models and expectations.
• Report on financial performance to leadership.
• Identify and pursue new major projects through external engagement.
• Ensure effective handover and delivery of projects.
• Build reputation for top-tier project delivery, especially in Water sector.
• Foster a positive, client-centered culture.
• Engage actively with key client accounts.

• Coordinate resource deployment with leadership teams.
• Lead and inspire those aspiring to project leadership careers.
• Participate in performance reviews and goal setting.

Commercial & Financial Management

• Implement risk management and governance controls.
