We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Director/Head of Construction to join our Sellafield team to work on a new Framework for us. You will work alongside the Framework Director within the Nuclear business.

This role includes leading efforts to ensure effective mobilisation of new framework contracts and implementing smooth transition arrangements.

You will establish strategic partnerships with Sellafield Ltd to create long-term, sustainable revenues and profitable growth.

The Project Director Role

A senior member of the Framework delivery team. Responsible for managing, leading, supporting, and developing a team of technical professionals to execute operations efficiently during pre-construction and construction phases. This includes organizing and coordinating all construction and logistical activities to ensure effectiveness, safety, and efficiency. The role requires effective communication with all stakeholders, collaborative teamwork, and occasional acting as Framework Director during absences. The successful candidate will promote all aspects of Build Sure and SRM values, culture, and behaviours across the project.

Your Profile

• Extensive experience in the construction/civil engineering industry, including managing construction activities, processes, and methods at a senior operational level.
• Hold the APM PMQ (or equivalent) qualification or be a Chartered Project Professional.
• Proven success in managing and delivering complex construction projects and packages.
• Strong technical and engineering background with broad project experience.
• Current knowledge of contract forms and commercial understanding.
• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to develop internal and external relationships, with proven people management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging at all levels and presenting ideas clearly.
• Skilled in multitasking, prioritizing, and managing complex workloads.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to adapt priorities as needed.
• Understanding of leadership qualities and the connection between vision, values, and business objectives.
