Job summary

Kier Group in the Eastern Region is seeking a Project Director to lead major construction programmes valued over £100m. You'll drive delivery across Education, Health, Defence and other sectors, setting strategy with the project team and ensuring safety, quality and commercial performance.

You will manage design consultants and trade contractors, develop execution plans, monitor budgets and schedules, and mentor a high-performing team to sustain Kier's reputation for delivering complex schemes.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Construction and professional qualification or working towards it
• Proven track record delivering major projects of similar scale
• Excellent management and communication skills with the ability to proactively lead diverse teams
• Strong commercial awareness with knowledge of contract conditions and construction law
• Emotionally intelligent, collaborative leader who can navigate complex stakeholder relationships and inspire teams to continuously improve

We're looking for a Project Director to join our Construction team based in the Eastern Region.

As a Project Director, you'll lead major construction projects valued over £100m, working within our dynamic Construction team to deliver exceptional results for our clients. This is an opportunity to shape the design and construction process whilst maximising your team's potential to deliver projects safely and commercially. You'll play a vital role in maintaining the Kier brand, ensuring clients, users, and local communities are delighted with their projects.

What will you be responsible for?

Education

As a Project Director, you'll be working within the Construction team, supporting them in delivering major regional projects across education, health, defence, and other key sectors. Your day to day will include:

• Leading the safety, health and environmental culture across all project works, ensuring compliance with regulations and Kier's standards
• Developing and delivering clear project execution plans with practical performance measures to meet project objectives

What are we looking for?
