What You Will Do

Johnson Controls is seeking a Project Development Engineer experienced in industrial refrigeration design to support the delivery and execution of our Industrial Refrigeration (IREF) projects. You will be part of a growing team across the UK, designing and supporting the installation of complex industrial refrigeration and process cooling projects nationally.

The UK&I Installation team delivers innovative solutions across various industry segments.

How You Will Do It

You will serve as the primary technical lead for design solutions, supporting the development of process cooling solutions from concept to completion. Responsibilities include system dimensioning, component selection, pipework sizing, document management, and producing compliant P&ID and Bill of Materials.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar role
• Engineering degree or related higher education
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) and BS EN378
• Understanding of CDM & Health & Safety at Work Act
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D drawing software
• Strong knowledge of system types and refrigerants, especially natural refrigerants
• Membership or working towards membership of the Institute of Refrigeration
• Willingness to visit customer sites as needed
