Job Title: Project Delivery Manager – Commodities - Submarines

Rolls-Royce has an excellent opportunity for a Project Delivery Manager to join our Submarines Business in Derby, supporting the delivery of our In-Service UK Nuclear Submarine fleet. This role is within the Services Delivery Business Unit; therefore, the successful candidate will need a strong customer management focus, a proven track record in project delivery, and the ability to operate in a complex environment within the Submarines enterprise.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Commodities team within the In-Service Programmes team, managing the planning and supply of Mechanical and Electrical materials into Naval Stores, working closely with customers, supply chain, and production facilities.
  • Ensure project requirements are met, overseeing technical development, product delivery, and programme control.
  • Manage project finances, including monitoring, forecasts, budgets, and estimates to complete.
  • Support contract, project, and control account reviews, producing management reports on progress, resources, risks, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate work across Delivery Business Units and Programme teams, adhering to project management controls and processes.
  • Maintain effective deployment of project controls throughout the project lifecycle.
Candidate Profile
  • Degree in engineering or business, or equivalent experience and continuous professional development.
  • Project management experience, understanding of project lifecycle, risk, cost, and planning.
  • Excellent communication skills for dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of SAP and scheduling tools is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, under tight deadlines, and in ambiguous situations.
  • Proactive, team-oriented approach.
  • Desirable: APMP or PRINCE2 qualifications.
