Software Engineering Manager, Project Delivery, Home Based

Role Overview: An excellent and varied Engineering Manager role involving software project delivery, line management, scrum mastery, and more. You should have a background in software development but will not be hands-on. People and line management skills are critical, managing a team of 6-9 members, along with strong software delivery expertise.

Responsibilities include:

• Removing external impediments to enable team delivery.
• Managing a team that develops high-quality software.
• Collaborating with the Product Owner to manage delivery timelines and expectations.
• Tracking, monitoring, and reporting project progress within scope, time, and budget.
• Adopting suitable tools and methodologies with the agile team.
• Managing team ceremonies from stand-ups to retrospectives.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager (software) or similar role.
• Strong delivery skills and experience.
• Leadership and mentoring experience, including direct line management, 1-2-1s, and reviews.
• Excellent knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Good understanding of the SDLC, starting your career as a Software Developer or Tester.
• Knowledge of data-driven environments is advantageous.

This role offers an opportunity to join a growing company working on their SaaS product, managing a team focused on external client software development.
