Job Description:

Engineering Manager, Scrum Master, Software Delivery focused. Required to have a previous technical background (SDLC - will have been a software engineer/ developer earlier in their career). Delivery focused and Team Leading / People Management required. Salary: c £65,000 - £75,000 + benefits.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead software project delivery, line management, and Scrum mastery within a technology company at the forefront of their industry. You will manage a team of 6-9 developers, focusing on software development for external clients. The ideal candidate will have a development background but will no longer be hands-on, with strong software delivery and people management skills.

Key Tasks Include:

• Remove external impediments for the team to focus on delivery.
• Manage a team developing high-quality software.
• Coordinate with the Product Owner on delivery timelines and expectations.
• Track, monitor, and report project progress within scope, time, and budget.
• Adopt suitable tools and methodologies with the agile engagement team.
• Manage all team ceremonies from stand-ups to retrospectives.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager (software) or similar role.
• Strong delivery skills and experience.
• Team leadership and mentoring experience, including line management and performance reviews.
• Excellent knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Good understanding of the SDLC, with a background as a Software Developer or Tester.
• Knowledge of data-driven roles or environments is an advantage.
