Job Description:

Allen Lane is supporting the London Borough of Hounslow in the permanent appointment of a Project Delivery Manager within their Digital & IT Service. This role is vital in supporting the Transforming Customer Experience (TCE) Programme, aiming to harness innovation and user-centered design to improve services for residents and businesses. The role requires hybrid working, with attendance at the office once a week.

The role

• Manage the delivery of digital and IT projects and programmes as part of a team.
• Oversee technical and business change projects from inception to transition, ensuring solutions meet user needs.
• Gather and analyze user needs and requirements; create business cases and project scopes.
• Ensure projects consider non-functional requirements like security, performance, accessibility, and disaster recovery.
• Implement project governance mechanisms and reporting from the start.
• Manage project implementation, resources, and third parties, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Track and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions, escalating deviations as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience leading complex projects from start to finish.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, including internal staff and external suppliers.
• High attention to detail with excellent documentation skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
