We are seeking a proactive and highly organized project coordinator for employment and skills to join our dynamic team delivering the trailblazer programme for economically inactive residents across South London. This innovative project aims to reduce economic inactivity by developing integrated, person-centred employment and skills pathways, working closely with local authorities, health services, training providers, and voluntary sector partners.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile initiative that is driving system change and delivering real impact for residents furthest from the labour market. Do you have experience in project management within employment and skills sectors?
As the South London Partnership (SLP) Employment and Skills Project Officer, you will provide day-to-day project coordination support, ensuring delivery milestones are met. You will maintain accurate project plans, trackers, and risk registers. You will support performance reporting, claim submissions, and compliance monitoring. You will liaise with delivery partners, Borough leads, and health teams to gather updates and ensure smooth communication.
Your main project focus will be supporting the effective delivery and integration of People, Skills, and Employment with health programmes across the six boroughs of Croydon, Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Wandsworth, and Sutton. You will also support the Head of Economy, Skills, and Employment with project management reporting for all SLP Employment and Skills projects. The People and Skills programme at SLP delivers various employment and skills projects to help residents into meaningful work. You will assist the Programme Lead in coordinating, delivering, and managing the performance of all SLP projects.
This is a great time to join SLP as we expand our services to link with health partners and provide access to employment services. This is a fixed-term contract until March 31st, 2026. The role is hybrid, mainly remote, with requirements to work across various sites for events and meetings.
